Before saying our goodbye's to our lives in Lake Tahoe we were able to sneak in a little staycation at the best boutique hotel on the South Shore - Coachman Hotel. I've always been a huge fan of Coachman because of their prime location but also their amazing aesthetic! I just love the cozy mountain modern feel of the hotel! Oh, and did I mention the incredible bar that serves both yummy coffee and craft brews? Perfection. I always get asked about where to stay in South Lake Tahoe since I lived there and Coachman Hotel is always my #1 recommendation! Let me convince you why... LocationCoachman Hotel is truly in the absolute best place for Lake Tahoe visitors! It's nestled right behind the hustle and bustle of Heavenly Village and Stateline - aka the places shop, dine, and enjoy the casinos nightlife. And of course in the winter months for all you snow sport lovers, the Heavenly Gondola is right here too. You really don't even need to leave this area if you didn't want to (which I would recommend checking out some of the famed sites) but, everything you need is truly right here. AmenitiesI've never stayed at a hotel that offers such amazing amenities like Coachman does! During the warmer months they have bikes (that are legit the cutest) for guests to use to cruise around the lake and explore - such a nice perk for those that may not have a car or just want to enjoy the outdoors! Coachman also has a pool and hot tub, fire pits (with complimentary s'mores in the evening - yep, sold) and a common area where the bar/coffee bar is located. In the mornings you get complimentary breakfast where you can make your own waffles and let me tell ya, seriously some of the most delicious waffles I've ever had! As for room amenities, y'all... the toilet seat is heated. It really is the little things that make life so much better lol! They also leave you chapstick adorned with the Coachman logo in the room which I honestly thought was so kind because 1) who doesn't need chapstick and 2) how often do you forget your chapstick... I know I do allll the time! DesignAs I already said, the design aesthetic of this place gets all the heart eyes from me! Any place that is able to make you feel like you're on vacation in the mountains but also make you feel comfortable like you're at home is a win from me! The rooms are minimal and modern with a touch of rustic! I loved the way the light in the rooms made it so cozy and made you never want to leave the comfy bed. The common area is truly dreamy - I'll let the photos do the talking! Exploring Lake TahoeAfter you get a good nights rest at Coachman Hotel, you're going to want to get out and have an adventure! Here are my top recommendations for you from someone that was once a tourist turned local (thanks to my husband being born and raised in Tahoe) - Emerald Bay State Park - a must see. It's Lake Tahoe's most iconic view and truly nothing like you'll see anywhere else. This is also where Eagle Falls is, if you are an original follower you may remember the picture of me in a hammock over a waterfall, yep that's here! Be sure to bring your camera! (Free to enter. Highly recommend following the rules of the parking signs unless you want locals yelling at you or getting a ticket OR having rocks fall onto your car - I've seen it all lol) Sand Harbor State Park - totally different side of the lake but totally worth it. The most insanely blue and crystal clear water! The alpine version of the Caribbean! Another great photo spot and postcard place! (You do have to pay to come into this park) West Shore Market - In Tahoe City but one of my all time favorite places to eat and grab a coffee! The sandwiches are life changing. And the market is so dang cute! Truckee - not really Tahoe but I just love, love, love Truckee. Seriously one of the cutest downtowns ever with lots of cool boutiques and restaurants! Black Cabin Coffee - a cool little coffee spot in South Lake Tahoe. McP's - an Irish pub style restaurant with such yummy food! The Irish Pizza is sooo good. Whether you're visiting in the summer or winter or maybe even visiting in the off season, Coachman is the place for your post-Tahoe adventures! A big thanks to the kind staff at Coachman for making their guests feel so welcome and comfortable! *This is a sponsored blog post for Coachman Hotel and a hosted stay. As always, all words and opinions are my own.*
