Aloha! I am in love with Hawaii. The culture, the landscape, the food- is all so wonderful! I was able to spend some time on the fun and beautiful island of Oahu, and am here to share some of my favorite places and things to do!
WHERE TO EAT + DRINK
Oahu is a goldmine for foodies!
MORNING GLASS COFFEE + CAFE
When I say I am obsessed with this place, I mean obsessed...
We ate here a bunch while in Oahu, and every single time did not disappoint!
I tried so many things on the menu, but my favorites were the creme brûlée oatmeal with fresh fruit, the mac n cheese pancakes with bacon, the turkey bacon muenster sandwich, and the grilled ham and apple sandwich! They also had a special one morning called strata, which was super yummy!
All of their baked goods look glorious.
And let's not forget, the coffee!
Honestly, one of the best iced vanilla lattes I have ever had- already miss it!
GOOFY CAFE + DINE
Such a yummy spot for breakfast or brunch!
I cleared my plate so fast because the fresh fruit was so dang good!
I got their fresh fruit french toast- seriously so good it didn't even need syrup!
I also loved their fresh lemonade made with maui brown sugar!
My guy got a poke bowl, I don't like fish so I can't be the judge on this one, but he said it was amazing!
If you're in love with açaí bowls like me, you gotta go to this place on the North Shore!
The bowls are amazing, but the walk-up cafe is so cute!
OLIVE + OLIVER
The absolute CUTEST cafe to grab a coffee!
Located inside the Surfjack Hotel, also super rad, it is part coffee shop, part boutique!
Their cups, straws, espresso machine, everything- is perfection!
WHERE TO EXPLORE
I wish we would have had more time to explore this beautiful island, but here's a round-up of my favorite spots!
A beautiful nature preserve and state park!
Upon arriving here, your jaw will drop at the beautiful water and reef below!
This is a great place to snorkel and see some sea life!
Sadly, we didn't see any turtles while here because it was super windy, but this beach was amazing!
It was nice to finally be at a beach that wasn't packed full of people!
I loved how beautiful and secluded it was here!
WHERE TO SHOP
If you're looking for rad, beach-y clothing or local goods, this is your place to shop!
HALEIWA, NORTH SHORE
This was the cutest town in Oahu! So many fun shops and places to eat!
They have places like San Lorenzo bikinis and Maui Shirt Company! This is also where Haleiwa Bowls is located!
A place I didn't get to check out but looked rad was, Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade!
WHAT TO EXPERIENCE
Hawaii's culture is truly what makes this place so special! Go out and experience it!
This luau was truly such a great experience! I loved seeing the traditional dancing from different Polynesian countries, as well as learning the culture! Chief Sielu has an incredible story as well, and is born to be an entertainer!
The fire-knife dancing was insane! They have multiple world champions, and the show is too good to put into words!
The food is amazing, and they give you traditional leis!
ALOHA FRIDAY NIGHT FIREWORKS
If you're staying in Waikiki, check out the show and fireworks at Hilton Hawaiian Village!
The fireworks are incredible over the ocean! And the show is a good taste of what a luau is like!
Plus, the village has plenty of places to grab a drink or a bite to eat!
A must if you're into history, or to remember the lives lost and check out cool military stuff!
There are quite a few exhibits, most popular being the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial!
Definitely check this place out, but plan for a whole day! And a heads up, it's a bit expensive!
If you visit Oahu, or any of the Hawaiian islands, I hope your experience is just as incredible!
Please remember to be respectful to the beaches, oceans, and sea life- pick up all trash, don't touch the sea animals, and wear reef-safe sunscreen!
And, please remember to be respectful to the locals and Hawaiian culture as well- this is their home!
